Learn a Variation of Upavistha Konasana (Wide-Angle Seated Forward Bend)

Side body extension in our bodies takes practice, but it feels amazing and helps us walk taller and supports a strong healthier posture. 

In this variation of Upavistha Konasana, there are a lot of sensations colliding. It may be helpful to put two rolled-up blankets on top of the thigh before you try your trunk extension. When there are blankets on the thigh, you can have something to push into with your right side body and then the left side will create a nice line rather than a curve. Try turning on the pelvic floor to activate the transverse abdominis. Then, grow long on the front body, side body, and back body resisting the urge to learn forward or crunch in your chest.
